Last week we issued contract renewals to all our returning teachers and administrators, including a 2.7% raise for teachers. As wonderful as our campus is, we all know our teachers are our greatest resource and asset. We have also restored the critically important School Counselor role to 100%, and have done more to recognize and honor the important contributions and leadership of our faculty academic department chairs, who have such enormous importance to the design of our curriculum.
As we prepare to advance yet another amazing class of St. Gregory graduates, we have been reminiscing about years past and wondering where our amazing alumni are now. If you are the parent of an STG grad or you are an STG graduate, please contact the

During Innovation Days a group of highly motivated and creative students designed and produced T.V. show called The Nest. As a St. Gregory Middle School Production, The Nest reports on current events at the school, advertises for upcoming activities, and serves as a showcase for student performances. You can see this combination in their premiere episode. We hope to make this a club for next year, so you could look forward to more episodes. Watch for more posts next week as we share the other innovative activities that happened these past two days!

It’s tuition time again! By now everyone who has turned in a contract should have been billed for 2012-13 tuition. The first tuition payments are due May 15, 2012. To help families wanting to make electronic payments we would like to let you know we have launched a new Tuition Payment Portal on the school website.
Students were notified that they were the only yearbook in southern Arizona to earn the National Yearbook of Excellence Award! This program includes public, private, and charter schools of all grade levels. A list of criteria for the award included relevancy of content and organization, and acknowledges that all cover and page layouts were completed in detail before deadline. We hope our St. Gregory community will appreciate and enjoy this memory book!

The annual fund is a reflection of the support and level of satisfaction that the Saint Gregory families have in our school. The money collected annually for the school is currently distributed in this fashion:
The first STG12Hour held last Saturday on the school's campus was a tremendous success. 67 people signed up in advance to help us raise funds for the St. Gregory scholarship fund and to sponsor students in Kenya. During the day an additional 62 people arrived, registered, ran or walked a few miles and took part in the various activities that took place during the day. The 129 participants accounted for 629 miles!

Many of you have asked what you can do to show your support of St. Gregory's longtime campus maintenance manager, Don Goetz, who was recently diagnosed with a serious illness. Don is also the parent of a St. Gregory 8th grader. Don has been a dedicated, hard working employee at our school for almost 13 years. Always willing to lend a hand, stay late, go that extra mile, or just offer a smile and a wave, Don has been there for us. It has been said, "Don cares for this campus as if it were his own child."
Middle School students did an extraordinary job these past two days developing their innovative mindsets and muscles during our first ever "Innovation Days." They were treated to an excellent presentation by Dr. Anna Spitz, a St. Gregory parent attached to a NASA funded mission to research an asteroid, who explained the very many innovative strategies being employed by that team to conduct that research.
